Bound by a string, the Burr McIntosh Monthly was the magazine just begging to be pulled apart.
Since there was no page numbering not only are full issues of the Burr McIntosh Monthly tough to find, it's just as tough to know if you've got a complete issue once you do come across one! Think about it, no page numbering, but that Nazimova print looks pretty. Let me pull it out and innocently place the magazine aside. Unless the buyer has a familiarity with the particular issue, aided at least by a semi-detailed Contents page, they'll never know their issue is not complete.
